My Dream, My Future

“ The world is but a stage in which we all play a part, “ goes the words of Shakespeare.
As a 4th year graduating student, I dream of simple things. I aim for my big dreams and most especially want to have a bright future. A few months from now I will already become part of the busy college life where at this point in time I had a hard time thinking of a course I’ll take up in college.
I can’t believe high school days are almost over where the best years of our lives are spent. Then here approaches the most dreaded, Graduation! It kills me.
Of course everybody feels sadness and pain sometimes. It is no surprise because we are humans. We have emotions. But don’t let problems control you. Don’t let problems be the reason for you to take out a blade and start hurting yourself. Don’t ever hurt yourself. Our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. Keep it clean no matter what.
No matter how heavy your problem is, don’t take illegal drugs. All you need is a helping hand and a hug from a family member or a friend. No matter how angry you are at a person, never think that revenge is sweet.
These are only some of the simple ways to take part in making my dreams come true to have a better future. By encouraging others to be more aware of what is happening and what may happen in our country the next day, there would be a gradual upheaval of understanding our distress which could root to solutions.

Change: It Starts With Me

“ There’s always a time and chance for someone to change, for that someone to be a better person. The only thing we can give to help is to give that someone the time and the chance. “ – Embroy’
I believe that in a problem there is always a solution and everyone hopes and dreams would be pursued if you just have faith.
Everyone has a purpose. God wants us to grow the way our parents are doing to us. But we should not forget that we are the ones manipulating our lives, they are just there to guide us along the way and make sure we are heading the right way. Everything happens for a reason; maybe at times we asked why did we fail the exam, why did we lose the contest, why, why, why? Yes, there are many why’s? It’s not because He planned this, it’s because we failed to do the right thing. With this as a start, I know we can make a change. Change your attitude, change your ways. Change should manifest in every individual if we want to have a better tomorrow, a better country. Discipline is another thing. How can one change if there is no discipline? A change that could be a simple solution to our problems and a simple reason that could help grant our wishes to have a better life here in our beloved country- a country free from corruption and most especially a country without starvation and poverty.
A simple change can make all of it happen.

What Does It Take To Be an ICT Student?

Research has shown that technology can indeed help improve teaching and learning when used wisely. The internet made information available in a quick and easy manner, publicly accessible and within easy reach. It makes the work of people more easier and faster in any corner of the world.
As an ICT student I can say that the program improves the quality of education through technology which can provide teachers innovative ways to engage in the student to improve their retention, and make learning more inter- active. It will also be instrumental to upgrade our knowledge in the pursuit of quality education and leads to an employment in the near future.

Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival

I am an Ilocano, living in the province of Ilocos Sur. What pledge shall I give that I may prove worthy of my inheritance as an Ilocanians of the voices of my province mates when they sing…
Ilocos Sur the land of the free
Home of men strong in faith and unity
Where the people, courageous, bright and fair
Dedicated to strive and toil with care.
Ilocos Sur is the province where we cherish forever as the past is contained in the book where all things are written. It’s development and conservation tasks has made Ilocos Sur from being a favored tourist spot. A lot has changed in the province but as we see the culture, the values and the heritage spirit still run in the blood of the people of Ilocos Sur. Yes, we cannot blot out the record, but if we choose to learn them, the past will teach us its lessons- the reason why we have the Kannawidan: The Ylocos Festival for the preservation of our rich culture must be considered and well inculcated in our hearts and minds.
I firmly believed that each one of us should commit ourselves to a partner for our continued endeavor and undertakings toward bringing Ilocos Sur a greater glory and victory for we are responsible for what the future will be.

New Year, New Me

New Year, New Me- to better my life I must see and admit what is wrong. Then I can improve myself.
In what ways can I be New Year, New Me to others?
As a student I want to get ahead in school. Not just excelling mentally but socially, physically and spiritually as well. I want to live a balanced life. How will I do this? First, I will attend my classes regularly. I will avoid making unnecessary absences. I will begin my day with God.
With this I know I can become a new me as I zoom in on worth while oppurtunities that come my way- using my talent, knowledge and skills for the glory of God.

Keeping in Mind Our Mother Tongue

Perhaps no man is more articulate than one who can give directions without taking his hands out of his pocket. - Franklin P. Jones
Language is so subtle and complicated, an instrument that we often lose sight of the multiplicity of its uses. But there is real danger in our tendency to over simplify. Those who take too narrow a view of the legitimate uses of language finds words constantly being wasted. This justifies in our different experiences of the world social functions, ordinary conversation, friendly greetings and the like. However, language is the greatest invention of man.
Without language, there is no understanding, proper conversation and communication, no development in technology and most especially there is no unity and prosperity of human being.

Reflection: 3rd Grading

Life is a long narrow filled with dangers and disappointments. We don't know the end, but we've got to keep going.
This 3rd Grading Period, I learned so much about Tags and how to write better drafts for my Blog. Almost every week we were given different topics to write about. I was really challenged. Challenged to balance my Academics and Co- curricular Activities.I think because of this it really helped me a lot to be better- a responsible student.
It will not make us idle it gives us leisure that gets rid of stress and benefits our body as well. Practice ofcourse does make perfect.
